An author just beginning to try to get her foot in the door, Megan hopes that blogging about her love will help her own writing skills, as well as let her see what other people like to read, and connect with them.
While her favorites books are mainly in the Fantasy Genre, she is always looking for recommendations for something new to read.
Have something to say to her? She is always happy to get e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org
I always find it strange to write about myself in the third person, so I’ll tell more about myself this way in a POV I’m more comfortable with. Hi, I’m Megan. I’ve been writing, according to my family, since before I knew my letters. It’s a trait that has never gone away, though I have become far more serious about it in recent years.
I love traveling, and have severe wanderlust. There are times that I feel I have just been in one place too long and will take a spur of the moment trip to someplace different. When I studied abroad in Germany for a time, I tended to take quickly planned trips at least once a month to England, Switzerland, France, and all around Germany.
I am the eldest child in my family, and my only other sibling is 11 years younger than I.
I enjoy Gaming (Dungeons and Dragons, Dresden Files, Serenity and Vampire are my favorites), both for the stories that come from them, but also because of the friendships that often develop from sitting around a table and eating pizza while we let dice control our fates once a week. Many ideas for stories often come from the sharing of ideas that happen around the Gaming Table.
Photography is a love of mine, though I am not the best at it by any means. It is still a lot of fun to do though, and I love the feeling that comes with getting a perfect shot.
I am currently engaged to my boyfriend of four years, and after I get married, my initials will go from MEH to MEG, something I find amusing. We met through a mutual interest in Renaissance Re-enactment, an insanity that neither of us has gotten over yet.
Other loves that I have include the Pokemon Games (I will fully admit to being a Poké-nerd and proud of it), stargazing, singing, learning different languages (I am fluent in German and English, and I know basic Japanese and Chinese, though I really want to learn Russian as well) and, of course, reading and writing. As a 4-H graduate, I can also sew and decorate the occasional cake while launching rockets.
If there is anything else you are wondering about me, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line and ask! Like most people, I love getting mail!
